Here’s something to break up the wedding blogs, a family portrait shoot that I did just before the festive period kicked in. Sarah approached me and asked for some family photos, which I was more than happy to do. One thing I do do with all my clients, be it a wedding couple, corporate or family portraits, especially when it involves kids is meet them prior to the shoot just so that they can feel comfortable with me and they know who I am. It breaks down barriers and as soon as Hugo, Harry and Charlotte walked in the studio they seemed comfortable and at ease…that might have had something to do with the bag of Haribo I had for bribery purposes but nevermind that. I always approach family portraits in the same way: keep it fun! I much prefer to let the kids do their own thing and I almost document it, yes get some nice group photos but from my experience young children don’t like to sit still for too long. This reportage style is eveident in alot of my work really. Anyway here they are, Enjoy!
